✨ First Things First: Wow. Just. Wow.
Let me just say:
I was not ready for this.
I thought I was getting a spicy, small-town romance with some brooding bad boys.
What I got was:
-
Secret missions ✅
-
Polyamory ✅
-
Corporate corruption ✅
-
The hottest men in fiction ✅✅✅
-
And a surprise mystery man at the end who had no business showing up so fine when I was already emotionally wrecked ✅
๐ The Plot (aka Threesome & Treason: A Love Story)
The story follows Cecelia Horner, a 19-year-old woman (yes, nineteen, calm down) who’s retelling the story of the summer that ruined her life from the wise, traumatized age of 26.
Here’s how it starts:
๐ Cecelia packs up her sassy, sheltered self and moves to Triple Falls, North Carolina, to spend a year living with her distant, rich-daddy Roman, who owns Horner Technologies (™ shady business alert).
Her goal? Put in one year of work at his company, suck it up, and secure that financial freedom inheritance.
What she doesn’t expect is:
-
To fall for her gorgeous and oddly nice boss, Sean Roberts
-
To also fall for his rude and mysteriously broody best friend, Dominic King
-
To end up in an unapologetically hot throuple that somehow works better than 90% of traditional couples I know
Yes, you read that right.
She dates both.
At the same time.
With their enthusiastic consent.
And it’s HOT.
Like, wake-up-at-3am-and-read-in-your-closet hot.
๐️ But Wait… There’s a Ravenhood?
Yup. Somewhere between the threesomes and emotionally confusing pillow talk, Cecelia finds out Sean and Dominic are part of a secret organization called The Ravenhood.
Cue the mystery music.
Think:
-
Motorcycle rides
-
Stolen tech
-
Robin Hood vibes (but with less tights and more tattoos)
-
“We’re not the bad guys, we’re just the illegal guys”
Cecelia is weirdly okay with it all. Honestly, same. If Dominic King asked me to commit corporate espionage, I’d be in a hoodie and ski mask by sundown.
๐ Plot Twist Incoming (Brace Your Emotions)
Just when Cecelia’s out here living her poly best life, Sean and Dom DUMP HER.
Out of nowhere.
Just: “Bye girl, we caught feelings, and feelings are dangerous for our mission. Leave.”
She is wrecked.
I was wrecked.
We were all wrecked.
She goes home to cry to her mom and BFF Christy, eats a few trauma snacks, then heads back to Triple Falls to face them again.
And here’s the kicker:
They admit they used her.
USED HER.
Because they needed access to her house, her dad’s tech, and insider info on Horner Technologies.
Oh, and they think her dad killed Dominic’s parents and is running some kind of crime ring.
So yeah. That’s a lot to take in when you’re still wearing the guy’s T-shirt.
๐ Revenge. Seduction. Chaos.
Cecelia is like “Okay. You wanna play games? Cool.”
So what does she do?
She lies topless by the pool and plays a specific song on repeat, knowing Sean and Dom can hear it through the hacked network.
It’s called emotional terrorism and it’s brilliant.
But instead of Sean or Dom showing up?
It’s a mystery hottie.
And then…
THE BOOK ENDS.
CLIFFHANGER.
AUDIBLE SCREAM.
Me at midnight frantically adding book two (Exodus) to my cart.
๐ง Final Thoughts & Brain Cell Theories
Okay so here’s my theory:
The Ravenhood is going to get way more intense.
There’s something deeply corrupt about Horner Technologies.
That new guy at the end? Probably has ties to the whole thing.
I also suspect Sean and Dom are not done with Cecelia, emotionally or… physically.
(Manifesting one last spicy reunion scene, please and thank you.)
