The Perfect Son by Freida McFadden

The Perfect Son is about Erika and Jason's son, Liam, who exhibited early signs of psychopathy since he was little. Due to this, Erika has been going out of her way to make sure Liam doesn't have "opportunities" to act out his dark fantasies. This worked well until Liam's love-interest, Olivia Mercer became missing. Erika wasn't there to protect Olivia because she had thought a different Olivia was Liam's crush, and protected the wrong Olivia instead. As with any book by McFadden, there is more than what meets the eye. I read this book so fast, and missed some of the telltale clues. I think if you read slowly and more carefully, you might be able to see the ending coming. It would be enjoyable either way.
